Only CreAgri has developed a unique, proprietary process to recover HIDROX™ from olive water. The process, called Integrale™, is protected by two US patents, 6,197,308 and 6,165,475, and has two steps:

·         First, the pits are removed from the pulp of the organic olives.

·        Then, the polyphenolic rich water is separated from the oil and processed with citric acid.  This process protects against oxidation and releases the hydroxytyrosol from its precursor oleuropin and other large molecules. The resulting liquid is then formulated as HIDROX™ (available as powder, liquid and olive oil emulsion). The formulation of HIDROX™ has also received a composition matter patent US 6,416,808.  

The CreAgri proprietary process not only delivers health benefits to the consumer in the form of a superior antioxidant raw material, but is also environmentally friendly to produce. Previously olive water was considered “waste” that needed to be disposed of accordingly due to the polluting compounds present in the pit. Because the patented Integrale™ process removes the pits from the olives before processing, what was once waste matter can now be fully utilized for its unsung health benefits.

In our commitment to producing a totally natural, completely genuine material, CreAgri uses only 100% organic olives – grown on our own organic olive ranch in California – to create HIDROX™. And while it is common to use chemical solvents in extracting natural compounds, the Integrale™ process is completely natural and solvent-free.
